BGB is a Game Boy and Game Boy Color emulator for Windows that will allow you to enjoy almost the entire catalog of both portable consoles from the comfort of your PC. The program also comes with many additional features that enhance the feel of the game through support for controllers, graphical and sound enhancements, and more, while maintaining a faithful experience to that of the original games.
A light and easy-to-use emulator
The first thing that you notice about BGB is that it only takes up 600 KB. But don't let its small size fool you; the emulator has loads of interesting features and is also very easy to use. To load a ROM, simply open the emulator, right-click on the screen, and select Load ROM. Thanks to the accuracy and faithfulness of the emulation, if a ROM works, chances are that it will also work on a real console even if it is a homebrew.
A range of configuration options
In the Options menu of BGB you'll find a control panel where you can customize your emulator experience. In terms of the visuals, for example, you can completely change the color palette of the emulator or the resolution of the games. You can also activate VSync or BPPs. Similarly, the sound settings have a lot of options for you to adjust the volume, latency, or audio rendering, among other things. And, of course, you can customize the controls to suit you and use a keyboard or gamepad.
Also works for Super Game Boy
One of the best features of BGB is that it also allows you to emulate the legendary Super Game Boy. This means that you can play the multiplayer mode in some of the games compatible with this famous peripheral, such as Puyo Puyo, Battle Arena Toshinden or Bomberman GB. From the options menu, you can configure up to four different controls.
An excellent Game Boy emulator
Download BGB if you're looking for a Game Boy and Game Boy Color emulator that allows you to comfortably enjoy the entire catalog of these two legendary handheld consoles. Thanks to its wide range of options, you'll also be able to enjoy a fully customized experience. And, as if all this weren't enough, its small size and low consumption of resources mean it runs on virtually any PC, no matter how old it may be.
